Our purpose

A shared standard of excellence

The Board exists to define and uphold a shared standard of excellence in laryngology across Europe through a formal post-graduate examination.

This initiative brings European laryngology in line with other surgical disciplines that have long offered structured, board-level certification — and the Council looks forward to welcoming the first cohort to what we hope becomes a defining credential for the specialty.
